SRI PROMOTES VIRGINIA WATERSTRAAT TO VICE-PRESIDENT
(ROLLING MEADOWS, ILL., March 2, 2006) - Strategic Reimbursement, Inc. today announced that it has named Virginia Waterstraat to the position of Vice-President. Ms. Waterstraat has over 35 years of healthcare reimbursement experience and has been a key employee of SRI for over 20 years. During her tenure, she has overseen the launch and implementation of many of SRI's new products, including, but not limited to, SRI's cost accounting system, pricing program, SNF exception requests, DSH calculations/review, and most recently, the preparation of Medicare Bad Debt logs.
Ms. Waterstraat has oversight over SRI's DSH Division, Bad Debts Division and Clinical Services Division. Currently, she has six employees reporting directly to her. Under her leadership, SRI has recovered over $125 million in additional DSH reimbursement for its clients. As the head of the Clinical Services division, she has overseen numerous engagements, including an extensive CDM Review for every facility of one of the largest, national non-profit hospital chains. Lately, she has been overseeing current and prior year Bad Debt Log reviews for several major non-profit hospital chains located in the Midwest.
Ms. Waterstraat earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of the East and Masters of Science in Accounting from Roosevelt University. She is Certified Public Accountant and a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association.
